I don't know if anyone heard about this, or saw it on the news but yesterday there was a big Education Rally at the Capitol protesting the budget cuts for Arizona schools. Mahlon, along with some other teachers (and 2,500 others) went to show their supprt for schools and education. I usually don't make political statements, but it is sad to see education suffering as a result of poor money management. And becuase Mahlon is at risk for losing his job over this, it's more personal to us than usual. The website
www.march4schools.com has links to more information and ways to contact legislatures and sign petitions against these cuts to educations. Please take the time to voice your opinion. Education should never be compromised! Thanks!

Every time we are talking to my mom and she talkes about the district's budget, we always think about Mahlon. We hope that the budget cuts don't affect his job. We're thinking about you guys!
Oh no, really? What a crock of stuff we are putting up with in the economy right now. Let's all hope it pulls through.
That sign makes my heart soar... and snort wwith laughter! :)
It is so sad, TUSD just told us that they aren't asking back ANY 1st or 2nd year teachers, and my mom said that in San Diego one district laid off 1100 teachers, and another 800...so sad.
Good luck with everything. We've been watching for Sam's job and for my job, since Sam getting out of work means me losing a job. Madison is so cute. I loved all the pictures. She is a big girl and I am jealous. We'll be doing it soon enough though.
